Contrary to the installed tradition this release of our chess marathon comes out not on Friday but on Thursday. The motive to "go on the air" a day earlier is rather seriuos - on Thursday, April, 5th is the 50th birthday celebrated by the president of FIDE Kirsan Nikolaevich Ilyumzhinov!

The second intermediate finish is finished! "The words excite and the examples attract!" – the antique aphorism says. We won’t try patience of our participants of a chess marathon too and at once we’ll pass to the examples, to the competitive tasks of the second intermediate finish!

The second stage of our "Chess marathon" comes to its end with today's release, and we have not presented all the heroes of the start yet... Basically, it would be possible to go on a beaten path and to tell in any of releases about all the winners as it done in reportings from tournaments on practical chess.
It has become the turn to introduce the silver prize-winner of the first intermediate finish. It is a doctor-immunologist and a Master of Sports of Ukraine on chess composition from Pervomayskiy town of the Kharkov region Vladislav Tarasyuk.
In this release of our chess marathon we fulfill the promise given in the previous release, and we’ll tell you about heroes of the intermediate finish. We will start, of course, with the winner!
On conditions of a chess marathon, after each four releases we’ll bring preliminary results with the analysis of competitive tasks for this period. We will remind that for the correct and full decision of the problems 5 points are charged. The chess question is estimated by 3 points.
